Can’t Find Talented IT Employees? Try Colocation Instead!
In today’s economy, companies are doing everything they can to cut costs, including to more remote locations where real estate, especially commercial real estate is not so expensive. A company that provides a service, such as a website host, can relocate much more easily that a retail business, and they often do as many rural areas have nearly the same infrastructure available as metropolitan areas.
There is a problem in some areas for technology oriented companies who move to remote, inexpensive locations-they cannot find enough employees with the skill they need to run their business. Not all of a company’s employees will want to be uprooted to a rural area, new employees need to be found. It is difficult to find good IT employees in remote areas, the people with IT skills moved to where the jobs were at and it is hard to recruit employees to work in rural locations, especially stable people with families who want to remain in the city.
